So in the end I decided that I was having a lot of trouble with the writing of this story because it was in the first person, so in order to get myself back on track I have begun to rewrite in 3rd person as well as doing a full chapter by chapter plan.

It’s an odd feeling.

Not knowing where you came from or how you came to be there. When you just found yourself sitting on a park bench with no memories about your life of the people in it.

It’s even more odd when you know how to function, you know you should go to a hospital or something. and you recognise that it’s not normal to suddenly be unaware of who you are.

when you know how to use the phone in your bag and you don’t even know how old you are or what you look like. Even aware enough to describe the state your’e in.

Blank canvass would be an apt description.

You would expect to feel terrified in that situation, after all people often fear the unknown so to know nothing of your own life should be pretty scary.

At least then you know one little thing about yourself, you have that handy little voice in the back of your mind whispering that you shouldn’t panic, stay calm.

But where to go from that? How do you pick up the pieces you can’t even see and find the person you’re supposed to be?

Should you even try? Should you try to find the old colours of your life or should you fill that canvass with new colours?

Flight Chapter 3 - Brother

The next day I didn’t leave the house at all, ignoring my stomach when it protested, and telling myself not to be bored. Chrys flew over several times, being a dutiful watchdog.

Flight Chapter 2 - Friendship

I was shadowed for the rest of the week.

Hunting away from Chrys’ prying eyes became increasingly difficult. I had to travel miles on foot before he lost me in the trees, and then I would have to travel further the next day. I was sure he took pleasure in irritating me; they couldn’t need to watch me this badly. If they’d done a profile they should have known I wouldn’t leave until I knew my brother’s fate.
